Rubio MonoCoat has Zero VOCs!
Rubio Monocoat Oil is based on natural vegetable products without Volatile Organic Compounds. It has no effect on your indoor air quality. That means you get a non-toxic environmentally-friendly floor finish.

Rubio Monocoat Natural Oil finish is currently available in 34 colors, a complete range of choices to fit any design. Try a Monocoat color sample in a 20 ml size or a tester in 100 ml size to be sure you have the right color for your floor, furniture, or other woodworking project.
Rubio Monocoat is a Single-coat application.
Rubio Monocoat Floor Finish Natural Oil adheres with the first microns of wood by molecular bonding. As a result, Monocoat can cover an average 400 sq. ft. of floor per liter. Because of molecular bonding, no surface film can form and no variable saturation can occur. Not only is a second coat not required, the finished wood will not accept a second coat.

The Monocoat molecular bond creates durable, long lasting protection. After a reaction time of just 15 seconds, the fibers bond.
An Easy to touch up Environmentally-Friendly Floor Finish.
The Monocoat bonding technology allows local touch up of damaged areas or scratches because only the free wood fibers will take the touchup coating. The finished margins next to the scratched or damaged area will not accept new Monocoat. There is no overlapping or additional density buildup at the margins.

Coverage (Approximate)
Hardwoods: 1L of Pure Oil = 500 sq ft., 1L of Color Oil = 350 sq ft.
Softwoods: 1L of Pure Oil = 400 sq ft., 1L of Color Oil = 300 sq ft.
Douglas Fir and Reclaimed Woods: 1L of Pure Oil = 225 sq ft., 1L of Color Oil = 175 sq ft.
One-Coat Application Process
1. Clean the sanded floor thoroughly.
2. Coat the entire floor with Monocoat Oil.
3. Remove all excess oil
4. After 24-36 hours the area is ready for occupancy
Cleaning and Repair of Rubio Monocoat
Ordinary Cleaning: Vacuum the floor using a soft brush attachment.
Periodic Cleaning: After three weeks, floors treated with Rubio Monocoat Oil can be cleaned with water and Rubio Monocoat Natural Cleaner (retains the matte look) or Satin Cleaner (if Satin Cleaner has been applied full strength to the floor to create a satin sheen.
Spot Cleaning: Natural Cleaner is available in a spray bottle, Natural Cleaner = Surface Care Spray.
Periodic Rejuvenation/Maintaining the oil finish should be done only when the "luster" of the oil finish has diminished.

Raw Wood Cleaner
Monocoat Raw Wood Cleaner is used as a cleaner for raw wood surfaces before the application of Monocoat Oil Plus and removes natural oil from exotic species. The product can also be used to clean materials that were used during the application.
Surface Care Spray
Rubio Monocoat Natural Soap Surface Care Spray cleans the floor and retains the natural matte finish of Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus and Oil Plus 2C. Premixed and ready to use in a convenient spray bottle for spot cleaning.
Natural Soap
To preserve the matte appearance of Rubio Monocat, vacuum the floor using a soft brush attachment during the first three weeks after the Monocoat Oil has been applied. After three weeks the floor can be cleaned with a mixture of water and Monocoat Natural Soap.
Soap Satin
Rubio Monocoat Satin Soap is applied to add a satin gloss to the Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus and Oil Plus 2C matte finish. The initial treatment, with undiluted product, can be done 36 hours after application of Monocoat Oil Plus or anytime thereafter. Oiled surfaces coated with Satin Soap should be cleaned periodically with a solution of ½ cup of Monocoat Satin Soap per gallon of water.
Rubio Monocoat Terrycloth Flat Mop
Fitted with a universal joint, this go-anywhere mop is ideally suited to application of all Monocoat cleaning and maintenance products. Terrycloth mopheads are machine washable.
